  17. <p>The TV Food Network makes eating a 24-hour viewing option
  18. </p>
  19. <p>     Are we at 500 channels yet? The latest channel to vie for a
  20. spot on the increasingly crowded cable dial is the TV Food
  21. Network, which will serve up a 24-hour schedule of recipes,
  22. cooking tips and news of health and nutrition. Among the programs
  23. being planned: an interview show in which celebrities talk about
  24. food with host Robin Leach and a consumer series on feeding your
  25. family for $75 a week.

  27. <p>     Financed by the Providence Journal Co., TV Food plans to
  28. debut in November and hopes to attract a portion of the $40
  29. billion annual advertising budget of food and packaged-goods
  30. companies. Vice chairman Reese Schonfeld insists that
  31. programming will be a piece of cake. "There's almost nothing you
  32. can do on television that you can't do with a food angle," he
  33. says. A dozen years ago, Schonfeld cooked up a little channel
  34. called CNN, so he at least knows his way around the kitchen.
